Extra! Extra! Read all about it.
In this vast city, various abuses occur daily. The victims of these abuses are usually those whose voice is stilled by being too young to speak, too old to speak and, of course, there are the animals whose only voice is the voice of the concerned. As Metro Pet Tracker is dedicated to the welfare of all animals, especially those who share this city, we have dedicated this page to issues that need this city's attention. We will focus on one issue at a time, delivering updates as they arrive. We will try to add some light to the darkness in assistance to other sites and groups hoping for swift and positive endings.

WANTED: A Volunteer Web Designer
Metro Pet Tracker has been online in one form or another for over nine years. Mainly through the concern for the animals who find themselves on the streets bewildered and hungry, this site has been created, recreated and sustained in the hopes that Metro Pet Tracker can help get them back home. At this time, Metro Pet Tracker is without a tech to keep it in top form. If you, or if you know of anyone who has the know-how, I ask that you contact me, The Tracker, at: thetracker@metropettracker.com. Thank you.

That is the moral issue.
Los Angeles City Shelter Volunteers Get Raw Deal
So I Adopt A Dog, And Shelter Still Kills It
Mayor Villaraigosa, it's time to step up and give the Los Angeles rescue and residential communities and the animals they love what they deserve - a Department of Animal Services manager who doesn't talk with a forked tongue.
The posted April, 2007 statistics of the Department of Animal Services under General Manager Ed Boks reveal the following:
1. 167 more cats were killed in the past 12 months than the year before.2. Adoptions have declined by 314 cats during the past 12 months.3. The number of animals that have escaped is double. How is this a No-Kill performance, especially given that prior General Managers Greenwalt and Stuckey, no icons they, decreased the killing of cats by 1,100 to 2,200 for each of the previous 4 years? How can Mr Boks have the gall to talk about his NO KILL plan at Town Hall meetings with these figures staring him in both his faces?
